‘Dinner and a Movie!’ night to benefit Bath PTA
BATH — The Bath Elementary Parent Teacher Association is teaming up with several local Bath area restaurants to offer “Dinner and a Movie!” night on Friday.
Parents with children in the Bath elementary schools are invited to drop off their elementary students at the Fisher- Mitchell School gym on from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for a holiday movie and light refreshments with their friends.
While the kids have fun, the parents are invited to spend their time shopping in downtown Bath and eating dinner/dessert at one of these local restaurants: The Cabin Restaurant, The Taste of Maine Restaurant, Solo Bistro, JR Maxwells & Co., Admiral Steakhouse, Kennebec Tavern, Byrnes’ Irish Pub and Dot’s Ice Cream Shop. These eight restaurants have made a donation to the Bath Elementary PTA Fund in support of this event and are inviting parents to spend Friday night at their establishments.

Las Vegas school wins Hot Chelle Rae concert
LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Las Vegas high school is getting a private concert from pop band Hot Chelle Rae after winning an anti-bullying contest. The concert is set for 12:30 p.m. today at Southwest Career and Technical Academy.
The school won for having what organizers say is southern Nevada’s largest commitment to combat bullying. Students took an online pledge against bullying and voted for their school through the Flip the Script School Takeover Contest sponsored by Las Vegas-based radio station KLUC.
Hot Chelle Rae is known for its hits “Tonight Tonight“ and “I Like It Like That.” The Nashville-based band was named new artist of the year Sunday at the American Music Awards.
Chow down with Santa
FREEPORT — Santa will be joining folks for an all-you-can-eat breakfast on Sunday from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Freeport Community Center’s Bradley Family Room, 53 Depot St.
