ALTOONA, Pa. — The streaking Portland Sea Dogs registered their sixth win in seven starts, a 13-4 rout of the Altoona Curve, before 4,656 at Blair County Ballpark.
Catcher Luis Exposito led the Dogs 16-hit assault, going 4-for-5 and driving in four runs.
Shortstop Yamaico Navarro (2-for-5) also plated four runs while right fielder, while he and right fielder Daniel Nava (2-for-3) each clubbed their first Double-A home runs.
All of that offense served to counter Portland’s 10-3 loss to the Curve, Tuesday.
Portland reliever Ryne Miller took over in the fifth inning for starter Blake Maxwell, and hurled 3 1/3 innings of one run, three hit ball to improve his mark to 2-1.
Left hander Kyle Bloom (4-8) sustained the loss for Altoona.
